My brother Chris and myself with a staff of four cabinet makers have been making furniture in the same location since 1982. We specialize in designing and custom building quality solid timber Furniture. Our work reflects a simple approach to design, form and proportion, while employing a keen balance of finely detailed workmanship.
We build all our furniture with solid timbers . All drawers are dovetailed and the casework is constructed using Sliding Dovetails for superior carcass strength.
Francis Furniture makes an extensive range of furniture including
dining tables,
chairs,
beds,
chests of drawers,
desks,
wall units,
entertainment units.
All of these are available in a number of classic furniture designs which will not go out of fashion. Not only will our furniture last your lifetime and more, it will remain in style for your lifetime.
In addition to our "standard" lines of furniture we also do a considerable amount of custom work ranging from minor changes to standard pieces to designing and building completely new designs.
Custom Entertainment units form a large part of this work. With our innovative designs and our ability to design the cabinet around your components and needs, we can also make it blend in with your existing furniture as well.
Our Furniture is made primarily from Australian Hardwoods for their strength and beauty. Timbers such as Jarrah, Blackwood, Tas Oak, Rose Gum and River Red Gum. We can also source a variety of imported timbers as well.
Despite the fact that every piece of furniture is made to order we have been able to keep the turn around times very reasonable, generally about 8 weeks. Delivery of your furniture in the local Port Macquarie area is done by Francis Furniture at no cost, however further a field is usually done by furniture removalists at a reasonable cost, and can be arranged to almost anywhere.
